PCBC CODE OF CONDUCT

  1. Do Not Touch The Cars: Of course looking is allowed but please do not touch any of the cars on display at our show. You could inadvertently damage the car or scratch the paint with your jewellery, metal on your clothing like a belt buckle or even a purse. Repairs can sometimes be in the thousands so please just step back a little and take it all in with your eyes.
  1. Photographers: Please keep an eye out for photographers taking pics of cars. Naturally some vehicles will have more photography traffic than others, but, being patient and courteous goes a long way. At times, it may be the media doing a story on our show so for us, that is pretty important. See a Camera Lense, stop for a moment and wait until they are done.
  1. Always Supervise Children: We love to see kids at the car show as it creates that multi-generational excitement! However, sometimes accidents can happen with excitement so please be sure to hold on to those little ones and explain the rules to them when viewing the cars.
  1. No Burnouts or any other Stunting Acts: These types of action only bring problems and are not sanctioned by the Penticton Historical Automobile Society dba/ Peach City Beach Cruise. With thousands of visitors to our show and kids being present, safety is in the forefront of everyone’s mind. In addition, these actions are subject to immediate police vehicle confiscation along with fines and/or other penalties under the British Columbia Provincial Motor Vehicle Act. We would simply hate to see your car confiscated by the RCMP.
  1. No Loud Music: Playing of loud music and/or thumping bass from your vehicles sound system or boom box is not considerate of others nearby. We are all at the show to enjoy the vehicles and not the sounds of your favourite band; many may not appreciate your taste in music. Loud music is not permitted.
  1. Litter: PLEASE keep your little area of paradise free of garbage. There are waste bins scattered around the show to dispose of waste however, we always recommend that you pack a few garbage bags in your vehicle before coming to the show. Let’s keep Penticton beautiful!
  1. No Speeding: Please keep your speeds to a minimum throughout Penticton during our show as there will be a lot of additional pedestrian traffic in the City.
  1. No Excessive Engine Revving: Yes, most of us love to hear that engine roar, but there are some who do not. There may also be important conversations happening nearby and the revving does not allow for quality communication.
  1. Pedestrians: Yes, some roads during the show become pedestrian only, however, not all roads at all times. All pedestrians must adhere to all traffic laws.
  1. Trash Talking: People come from all over North America to show off their vehicle because they are proud of it. No matter the style, finished, in production or what have you, we are all there to simply admire these wonderful machines! There is a good ol’ saying we are reminded of; “If you have nothing nice to say, keep it to yourself”. In addition, it is never cool to whine or complain if your vehicle doesn’t take home a trophy. Everybody can’t win a trophy, but we are all winners when we show off our beloved vehicles and let others enjoy them also.
  1. Skateboards, Bicycles, Roller Blades: Please keep at least 5 feet away from all vehicles if this is your mode of transportation around our show. Accidents can happen and we want to avoid them as they can become very costly to car owners.
  1. Pets: Pets must be leashed at all times. Pet waste must be picked up by their owners and disposed of in a waste bin at the show or in their own waste disposal bags. No pet should be brought to the show that may have issues with large groups of people. No Pet shall be left in a vehicle at the show no matter what. All dog owners should familiarize themselves with the local Penticton bylaws related to dogs an where they can and can’t go.
